Two coaches. One family.
Seventeen years of building.

We're Pavan and Sharon — a software engineer and a homeschool mom who spent 17 years proving that kids formed in faith build better, think deeper, and serve more freely.

Children Raised Through It

A used Mindstorms kit and a conviction that kids deserve better.

In 2009, Pavan picked up a secondhand LEGO Mindstorms kit and set it in front of his kids. No curriculum. No roadmap. Just the belief that hands-on building was the best way to grow a mind — and that faith had to be part of it from the start, not bolted on at the end.

Sharon was right there alongside them, learning and teaching in the same breath. Three children grew up building robots on the kitchen table. What started as a family experiment became a calling.

Over the years they coached dozens of students through their home in Arizona, founded Beep Patrol — a name well known in the Arizona FIRST community — and watched kids who built with purpose go on to study engineering, design, and computer science.

Faith Focused Robotics is the curriculum they wished had existed when they started. Every lesson reflects 17 years of what actually works — for the kids, and for their faith.

Built by coaches. Shaped by family.

We're not curriculum writers who happen to be Christian. We're parents who've lived this — and built something we'd stake our family on.

Pavan
The Coach · Software Engineer · FIRST Mentor

Pavan is a software engineer who started this program in 2009 with a used Mindstorms kit and a conviction that kids deserve to experience STEM firsthand — not just read about it. For 17 years he's been the one on the floor with students, debugging robots at 10pm before competition day, and quietly modeling what it looks like to work with both skill and integrity.

His approach: don't just teach kids to build robots. Teach them to think clearly, persevere through failure, and understand that the tools they hold are a gift to be stewarded.

Sharon
The Mom · Homeschool Educator · Curriculum Lead

Sharon homeschooled all three of their children through this program from the very beginning — learning right alongside them, adapting lessons when something wasn't clicking, and proving year after year that a parent with no engineering background can absolutely teach robotics when the curriculum is built right.

She's the reason Faith Focused Robotics is written for real families — not just STEM experts. Every teacher guide, every discussion card, every reflection prompt was shaped by her experience in the room where learning actually happens.

Raising kids who build with purpose and serve others.

This isn't robotics with a Bible verse glued to the front. Faith shapes every question we ask, every problem we set, every moment of failure and recovery.

✝️
Faith First, Not Faith Last
Scripture isn't a warm-up exercise. It's the lens through which every technical concept is explored — from sensors to stewardship, from debugging to perseverance.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do." — Prov. 16:3

Build to Serve, Not to Win
Competition has its place. But the deeper lesson is that the skills students develop are gifts — meant to be used for others, not just accumulated for themselves.
"The greatest among you shall be your servant." — Matt. 23:11

Parents in the Room
The best learning happens when a parent is present — not just supervising, but discovering alongside their child. We built this so that's actually possible.
"Train up a child in the way he should go." — Prov. 22:6

What families are saying.

"Pavan doesn't just teach robotics — he teaches kids how to think. My son came home from every session with a new question about engineering and a new question about faith. That combination is rare and it's real."

"Sharon was the reason I felt confident teaching this to my kids even though I'm not a STEM person. She wrote it for moms like me — and it works. My daughter built her first robot at age 9 and hasn't stopped since."

"Beep Patrol changed the way our whole family thinks about technology. It's not just a tool anymore — it's a responsibility. That came directly from Pavan and Sharon's coaching."
